The Razer Blade Laptop Review

The Razer Blade laptop is an attractive, powerful machine designed for gaming. However, it also looks like a regular laptop that you can use for productivity work.

In addition to its generous port selection, the Blade 15 boasts a THX-certified up-firing speaker system that produces great audio without being overly loud.

Power

Razer Blade laptop 15 2018 h2 is an impressive gaming platform. Powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, it’s engineered to push gaming performance even further.

This laptop is powerful enough to run creative software like Photoshop and Illustrator with its fast SSD storage.

We tested the Razer Blade 14 with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics, both designed to deliver top-tier gaming performance. They are powered by NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture for an amazing boost in performance with AI-driven DLSS and full ray tracing capabilities.

G-Sync helps eliminate screen tearing and makes gaming much smoother. Plus, NVIDIA Optimus disables the dGPU when not in use to conserve battery power.

Design

The Razer Blade laptop has long been one of the premier gaming laptops on the market. It exudes comfort and durability, supported by an extensive list of premium features.

The overall design of the Razer Snake remains relatively constant from year to year – a classic black anodized aluminum chassis featuring its fluorescent Razer snake logo. Gamers have come to rely on this style over the years, and while some may prefer the more office-friendly Blade Stealth model, this laptop remains an excellent option for those who appreciate classic gaming aesthetics.

This keyboard offers a traditional layout with RGB key lighting, half-height arrow keys and an excellent touchpad. Typists will appreciate its flat key travel and quiet typing sounds – even though there is some key resistance.

Gaming

The Razer Blade laptop is an exceptional gaming machine with all the power you need to take on today’s most demanding games. Not only that, but its stylish design gives off an impression of being a high-end desktop replacement as well.

The screen is one of the key features here, and it does a fantastic job at providing sharp visuals. Its G-Sync technology keeps tearing under control for smooth video playback and animations.

The Razer Blade 15 comes with two display options, 1440p and 360Hz. For serious esports gamers, the latter may be preferred; otherwise, 1440p resolution works just as well for casual gaming needs.

Battery life

The Razer Blade laptop boasts an impressive 4K display, but it’s a power hog. Its battery performance isn’t particularly good when performing everyday tasks, though it still meets gaming laptop standards.

The Blade 14 features a 15.6-inch, 3ms, 144 Hz display that covers 100% of sRGB and Adobe RGB color spaces, along with adequate brightness for most uses. Furthermore, it comes equipped with a MUX switch which reduces its refresh rate when not in use – further extending battery life.

The base model features a 65 Wh battery that should provide up to 6 hours of use with normal usage. However, battery performance varies from game to game and depends on how you’re using it.
